Name/TitleParis 1917 Commemorative Medallion

About this objectImprinted on the medallion are the words Journee de Paris 14 Juillet 1917 or Paris day 14 July 1917 (Bastile day). It also depicts an image of the Roman goddess of freedom – Libertas – shaking the hand of a wounded soldier. This commemorative medal was made and sold during World War One to fundraise for military victims of the war.
